Hey, Todd. You know we have a Thanksgiving dinner with my family, right?

Thanksgiving is a holiday in Canada and US. People give thanks to everything. They also have a dinner called Thanksgiving dinner with their family.

Of course. Your parents and sister are coming.

People usually eat a turkey in Thanksgiving dinner.

I asked you to get a [vocab word=turkey]turkey[/vocab] from the supermarket. Did you get it?

"Ask you to get" is verb + direct object + to + infinitive. It means "I asked you 'Get the turkey'."

(4) Todd: Listen
I told Jack to get it yesterday.

You do it again, later. I want you to do it.
(12) Todd: Listen
Alright, alright.
(13) Maya: Listen
Did you [vocab word=sweep]sweep[/vocab] the [vocab word=driveway]driveway[/vocab] in the morning?

No. (Shouts) Seth! Come here! Sweep ...

Now, Todd is shouting at Seth, his son. He wants Seth to sweep the driveway for him.

(15) Maya: Listen
No. I'm [vocab word=order]ordering[/vocab] YOU to sweep the driveway. And, I'm [vocab word=warn]warning[/vocab] you. Don't tell Jack, Mike, or Seth to do it for you. Or, else...

"Or else ..." is a threat. It means "Do it. Or, I will do something bad to you." Maya is threatening Todd now.
