  • Prepositions are words that show the relationship of a noun or a pronoun to another word in the sentence.
  • Prepositions of place, such as "at", "in", "on", show the location of something.
  • We use prepositions before a noun or pronoun. This noun or pronoun is called the object of the preposition.
  • The preposition and the object of the preposition together are called a prepositional phrase.
